Over 10,000 civilians killed in Ukraine since Russia invaded: war crimes office
More than 10,000 civilians have been killed in Ukraine since Russia invaded its neighbour in February last year, according to Ukraine’s war crimes office.

At least 10,749 civilians have been killed and 15,599 have been wounded in Ukraine since Russia invaded the country in February 2022, according to the War Crimes Department of the Ukrainian Prosecutor-General’s Office.
The death toll includes 499 children, Yuriy Belousov, the head of the department, said in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine news agency, as cited by US broadcaster CNN.
The figures of the Ukrainian Prosecutor-General’s Office are similar to those of international organizations such as the United Nations, he added, according to CNN.
Belousov also said that his team had recorded 98,000 war crimes committed by Russian forces in Ukraine since the invasion, CNN reported.
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.
