Sympathy and solidarity with Creeslough

Speaking in the Dáil this week Matt Carthy extended sympathy, thoughts and solidarity to the families and friends of all those who tragically lost their lives, those who were injured and the wider Creeslough community following the awful and heart-breaking tragedy which took place last week.

We can achieve our full potential in a new Ireland

Michelle O’Neill this week spoke at the first of Sinn Féin’s People’s Assemblies in the Waterfront Hall in Belfast.

She said, by working together and planning for the future, we can achieve our full potential in a new Ireland and build a better future for everyone.

People from all backgrounds and communities have an equal voice in the conversation on the future of our island.

Government failing students for too long

Rose Conway Walsh has said students across the state have been failed by this Government for far too long.

She was speaking after students this week staged a walkout from lectures as a result of the government’s abject failure to stand up for them.

Clear, multi-annual plan for health services needed

Speaking on the Tonight Show on Virgin Media this week David Cullinane said Sinn Féin has set out the need for a clear, multi-annual plan for the health service in our alternative budget.

He said the Government’s reactive, crisis management approach to healthcare is part of the problem and the Health Service cannot open new beds at the drop of a hat.

We need a ban on household disconnections

Claire Kerrane has called for a ban on disconnections for households and the 346,000 customers on prepaid energy meters saying the Government has left households vulnerable to disconnections over the Winter.

Budget 2023 failed to properly resource disability services

Sinn Féin used its private members time in the Dáil this week to call on the government to properly resource and fund disability support services.
