Tá cinnteacht maidir le praghasanna de dhíth ar chustaiméirí fuinnimh

Agus é ag caint le linn Cheisteanna na gCeannairí sa Dáil an tseachtain seo d’iarr Piaras Ó Dochartaigh ar an rialtas cinnteacht a thabhairt isteach sa Gheimhreadh maidir le custaiméirí fuinnimh.

Dúirt sé go bhfuil rialtais ar fud na hEorpa ag bogadh chun cinnteacht maidir le praghasanna a thabhairt isteach do chustaiméirí fuinnimh an geimhreadh seo. Idir an dá linn, in Éirinn, tá Rialtas na hÉireann go hiomlán neamhairdeallach i mbun gnó.

Sinn Féin proposals for fair access to retrofitting

Sinn Féin this week used its Private Members Time in the Dáil to bring forward proposals to ensure fair access to retrofitting, reduce bills, warm homes and tackle climate change.

Speaking during the debate Darren O’Rourke said this winter TDs can access a retrofitting scheme quicker than two pensioners burning coal to heat one room. That is deeply unfair.

Moltaí Shinn Féin chun rochtain chothrom a fháil ar iarfheistiú

D’úsáid Sinn Féin am Comhaltaí Príobháideacha sa Dáil an tseachtain seo chun tograí a thabhairt chun cinn chun rochtain chothrom ar iarfheistiú a chinntiú, billí a laghdú, tithe te a laghdú agus dul i ngleic le hathrú aeráide.

Ag labhairt dó le linn na díospóireachta dúirt Darren O’Rourke gur féidir le Teachtaí Dála an geimhreadh seo rochtain a fháil ar scéim iarfheistithe níos tapúla ná beirt phinsinéirí ag dó gual chun seomra amháin a théamh. Tá sé seo go hiomlán míchothrom.

Government Trojan Horse to raise pension age

The latest attempt by Government to raise retirement age via the back door was unveiled this week.

Mary Lou McDonald described it as nothing more than a Trojan horse to up the pension age to 70.

Our position is clear: People should have the option to retire, if they so wish, at the age of 65

Traíoch de chuid an Rialtais chun an aois scoir a ardú

Nochtadh an iarracht is déanaí ón Rialtas an aois scoir a ardú tríd an doras cúil an tseachtain seo.

Dúirt Mary Lou McDonald nach raibh ann ach Traíoch chun an aois scoir a ardú go 70.

Tá seasamh s’againne soiléir: Ba cheart go mbeadh sé de rogha ag daoine dul ar scor, dá mba mhian leo, agus iad 65.
