Over 700 Sinn Féin members attend National Uniting Ireland Members’ Conference

Over 700 Sinn Féin members attended an online Uniting Ireland Conference this week with guest speaker Ailbhe Smyth.

Senator Lynn Boylan chaired the meeting and party chairperson Declan Kearney MLA and Gerry Adams addressed the meeting.

The meeting focussed on the current party campaign to get the Irish Government to establish a Citizens’ Assembly on Irish Unity.  Prior to the meeting members had been provided with this discussion document on the Citizens Assembly on Irish Unity.

Attendees were informed about elements of the upcoming campaign which they will be involved in. This includes canvassing, posters and billboards.

Participants were urged to reach out to others and build alliances with those in their communities and in civic society towards this goal.

Executive must be formed to deliver real change for people

Speaking on BBC TV this week Michelle O’Neill said The Assembly election result must be respected, and an Executive formed to deliver real change for people.
