The theft was reported by Ukrainian diplomat Olexander Scherba, wpolityce.pl said on Thursday.
Scherba said in a tweet, as quoted by wpolityce.pl, that Putin’s soldiers had dismantled and stolen the 96-hectare Tokmak Solar Energy plant.
According to locals, Russian troops spent a long time disassembling the solar panels, packing them up and taking them away, wpolityce.pl reported.
Referring to widespread plunder by Russian soldiers in Ukraine, Scherba tweeted: “It’s not only toilets and washing machines. Russian Army dismantled and stole Ukraine’s largest solar power plant near Tokmak.”
He added: “#RussianLooters,” as cited by wpolityce.pl.
Thursday was day 120 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
