Poland expands Middle East travel alerts amid escalating conflict
Poland’s foreign ministry has issued fresh travel warnings for several Middle Eastern countries as a large-scale military operation unfolds across the region.

The advisory covers Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Palestine. Polish citizens currently in those countries are urged to closely follow instructions from local authorities and to remain in contact with Polish consular services if needed.
“A large-scale military operation is underway in the Middle East. Civilian airspace in many countries across the region remains closed,” the ministry said in a statement posted Sunday on its ‘Polak za granicą’ (Poles Abroad) information channel.
Officials are advising Poles in the region to secure sufficient financial resources, carry their passports at all times, keep mobile phones charged and ensure access to essential medications.
The ministry is also calling on travellers to register in the Odyseusz system, a free and voluntary platform run by Poland’s Foreign Ministry for registering Polish citizens’ trips abroad. Its main purpose is to enhance travellers’ safety by enabling consuls to quickly make contact and provide assistance or information in emergency situations such as natural disasters, conflicts, or terrorist attacks.

Earlier, similar warnings were issued for Iran, Israel and Lebanon, as tensions continue to ripple across the broader Middle East.
Foreign ministry spokesman Maciej Wewiór on Saturday said that five Polish citizens are currently registered in Iran in the Odyseusz system, 40 in Lebanon, and more than 200 in Israel. He added that some of them are long-term residents of those countries.
There are currently no reports of Polish nationals being affected by the strikes on Iran, Wiewiór stated.
Earlier on Saturday, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that Polish citizens — including staff at Poland’s embassy in Tehran — are safe.
The United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran on Saturday, plunging the Middle East into a new conflict that President Donald Trump said would end a security threat to the United States and offer Iranians a chance to topple their rulers, the Reuters news agency reported.
Israel said on Sunday it launched another wave of attacks on Iran, as Iranians grappled with uncertainty after the killing of their supreme leader in U.S. and Israeli strikes, while President Donald Trump warned of consequences for retaliation.
