Polish jobless rate among EU’s lowest, at 3.2% in December: Eurostat
Poland’s unemployment rate stood at 3.2 percent in December and was among the lowest in the 27-nation European Union, the bloc’s statistics agency has reported.

The Czech Republic had the lowest jobless rate in the EU in December, at 3.1 percent, followed by Poland and Malta tied in second place, each with 3.2 percent, according to the Eurostat agency.
Meanwhile, Finland had the highest seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate in the EU, at 10.2 percent, and Spanish unemployment was the second-highest at 10 percent, according to the latest available data.
Eurostat reported that the EU average for December was 5.9 percent, unchanged from November.
Poland’s statistics office GUS, which uses a different methodology, reported last month that the Polish jobless rate inched up to 5.7 percent in December, from 5.6 percent in November.
