Trump to visit Poland in June: official
U.S. President Donald Trump may visit Poland ahead of a NATO summit this June, a Polish presidential aid has said.

In an interview with Polish Radio on Friday, head of the Presidential International Policy Bureau Wojciech Kolarski revealed that the invitation to visit Poland was extended during Polish President Andrzej Duda’s first phone call with Trump on November 11.
“For some time now, we’ve been receiving indications that president Trump’s schedule wouldn’t allow it – that it was too early”, Kolarski said.
He noted that Trump’s first foreign trips are planned for May, with Saudi Arabia expected to be the initial destination.
„Therefore, we anticipate that a visit to Poland may occur before the NATO summit in The Hague, which will take place on June 24–25”, Kolarski added.
In Poland – which in Trump’s 2017-21 term prided itself on keeping relations relatively good – influential centrist newspaper Rzeczpospolita noted that Trump had indeed kept his pledge to swiftly bring down U.S. migration numbers. But it said he had also “upended the world order” and “sided with Putin”.
Other Polish media outlets struck a similar tone, some describing U.S. efforts to make Ukraine sign a critical minerals deal as “neocolonial” and damaging to wider U.S. Alliances.
Ukraine finally signed that deal on Wednesday, giving the U.S. preferential access to new Ukrainian minerals deals and providing for it to fund investment in Ukraine’s reconstruction.
As the Trump administration marked 100 days in office this week, China’s state broadcaster described what it called „100 days of chaos” and said the government in Beijing was providing „stability to a changing and turbulent world”, Reuters wrote.
