Polish 2024 GDP growth rate revised up to 3%

The Polish economy expanded by 3 percent last year, after growing 0.2 percent in 2023, the country’s statistics office said this week, revising upward its previous estimate for 2024 by 0.1 percentage point.

The state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) agency reported in April that the Polish economy grew 2.9 percent in 2024.

The statistics office has now revised upward its estimate for Polish GDP growth last year by 0.1 percentage point, state news agency PAP reported.

Statistics Poland said in a preliminary estimate in early September that Poland’s gross domestic product expanded by 3.4 percent in the second quarter of this year, after expanding 3.2 percent in the first quarter.

Poland’s central bank in July predicted that the Polish economy would expand 3.6 percent this year, followed by 3.1 percent growth in 2026 and 2.5 percent in 2027.

The country’s 2025 budget expects the economy to grow 3.9 percent this year.

Polish GDP is expected to grow 3.5 percent next year, under the country’s 2026 budget approved by the government in late August.
