Marcin Łoboda told a news conference in Warsaw that the National e-Invoicing System (KSeF) was stable and secure following its launch overnight into Sunday.
By 10 a.m. on Monday, the system had processed about 720,000 invoices, while roughly 1.9 million users had confirmed their registration, Łoboda said.
„The system is stable and secure, representing another phase in the digitisation of our economy,” he told reporters.
Deputy revenue chief Zbigniew Stawicki dismissed claims that KSeF was vulnerable to security breaches, calling them disinformation.
He also rejected suggestions that staff posed a weak point in the system.
„Employees are responsible, trained and fully aware of their duties and legal limits,” Stawicki said.
Officials said there had been heavy interest in the platform on its first full day of operation but no serious security incidents.
Under the rollout plan, large companies are the first to be required to issue invoices through KSeF.
The obligation currently applies to about 4,200 firms with annual sales exceeding PLN 200 million (EUR 47.4 million) in 2024, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Most other businesses, including many freelancers, will be required to use the system starting April 1, officials said.
The smallest firms, with annual sales of up to PLN 10,000 (EUR 2,370), will be brought into the system from January 1, 2027.
Authorities say errors made while using KSeF during 2026 will not be penalised.
