A relative of 99-year-old Teresa Gaj, a veteran of the Warsaw Uprising, has filed a complaint with prosecutors alleging she was manipulated into handing over her property.
The case involves a four-room apartment in central Wrocław, three-quarters of which was transferred to Marta Morawiecka, sister of former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who led the government under the right-wing populist Law and Justice (PiS) party.
Although a caregiver paid by Morawiecka does assist the elderly woman, the veteran insists she never signed any agreement giving up her share of the flat.
Onet.pl reports that other family members have raised further doubts, including questions about who exactly filed the complaint.
