Thousands of Iranians took to the streets across Europe and the United States over the weekend to show support for democracy in their homeland.

Participants, including diaspora groups and ethnic minorities such as Kurds, urged governments around the world to support the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom.
In Poland, members of the Iranian diaspora gathered in major cities for rallies under the slogan „International Support for a Free Iran.”
Meanwhile, in Tehran, crowds took to the streets on Monday to celebrate the appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei as Iran’s new supreme leader.
He was named supreme leader by Iran’s clerical leadership following the death of his father, Ali Khamenei.
