Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said that Eurosceptic Karol Nawrocki’s victory in Poland’s presidential election is a „fantastically good” outcome and a boost to US President Donald Trump’s political vision.

Nawrocki, a pro-Trump conservative, narrowly defeated centrist Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski in Sunday’s runoff, dealing a blow to Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s efforts to anchor Poland firmly within the European Union’s pro-integration camp.
„From a Hungarian perspective, I think the outcome is fantastically good, as there is a pro-Ukrainian, pro-war, pro-Brussels liberal government operating in Poland,” Orban said in a radio interview on Friday, as cited by the Reuters news agency.
’Washington Express has arrived in Warsaw’
Orban, who publicly endorsed Nawrocki ahead of the second round of Poland’s election, described the result as a win for European conservatives inspired by Trump’s Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement.
„One could also say that the 'Washington Express’ has arrived in Warsaw,” Orban said in the interview.
Both Tusk’s government and Poland’s previous right-wing administration have supported Ukraine in its fight against Russia’s invasion, and have criticised Orban’s pro-Kremlin stance.
Nawrocki has said Poland should continue backing Kyiv’s war effort, but he opposes NATO membership for Ukraine, Reuters reported.
