In just a few years, artificial intelligence has shifted from a distant idea to a force that’s actively reshaping daily life.

The rise of generative AI has fueled excitement and investment, as its tools become more capable and widely used. At the same time, big questions are emerging—about jobs, creativity and even how we define ourselves.

The global race for AI leadership is already underway, and Poland aims to take part soon. But is a society often seen as more traditional ready to embrace this change?

Michał Owczarek posed this question to Alexandra Krawiec, an AI expert and Poland’s representative at the London-based Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. They spoke on the sidelines of the MIT Universal AI Summit in Warsaw earlier this week.
