Government’s way of doing business must end

Speaking after this week’s debate on Sinn Féin’s motion of no confidence in Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney, Mary Lou McDonald said the government’s way of doing business must end and they cannot stop the change that is coming.

Fianna Fáil, the Green Party and a number of Independent TDs all joined with Fine Gael to defeat the no confidence motion.

Tánaiste must commit to 100% Mica Redress

Pearse Doherty has said it is hugely disappointing that the Tánaiste would not commit to 100% Mica Redress in the Dáil this week despite previously voting in favour of such a motion.

He said the government must lift the burden off these families who are seeing their homes crumbling before their eyes.

Tax billionaires – not workers and families – Pádraig Delargy makes maiden Assembly speech

Making his maiden speech in the Assembly this week new Sinn Féin MLA for Foyle Pádraig Delargy slammed Boris Johnson’s plan to hike up National Insurance Costs. 

He said ordinary workers and families are paying the price while billionaires line their pockets.
