It’s that time of the year again.  Sinn Féin’s National Draw tickets are on sale now.

And this year things are a little different.  This year Sinn Féin will have four draws with a €5000 cash prize up for grabs in each draw.

A €10 ticket gets you into all four draws with the first one taking place on Saturday 27th of November and the subsequent draws taking place on 4th of December, 11th of December and 18th of December.

Sinn Féin seeks to scrap developers exemption from providing affordable homes

Sinn Féin Housing spokesperson Eoin Ó Broin TD this week brought legislation to the Dáil to scrap the exemption given to landowners and developers which exempts them from providing any affordable homes until 2026.

Speaking in the Dáil Ó Broin said Micheál Martin may be Taoiseach but Fine Gael still dictates housing policy.

Sinn Féin’s bill aims to ensure all private developments include 10% social and 10% affordable housing.

Government must help families struggling with soaring energy costs

With soaring energy costs we need to ensure workers and families can seek assistance with electricity and heating bills. 

Speaking in the Dáil this week Sinn Féin TD Claire Kerrane said the government must establish a discretionary fund to help families struggling with utility bills.

Sinn Féin will continue to support our health workers

Joint First Minister in the North Michelle O’Neill this week met with health workers in the Royal Hospital to listen directly to them on the pressures they face.

Landmark day as soft opt-out system passes second stage in assembly

The soft opt-out system for organ donation passed its second stage in the Assembly this week.

Michelle O’Neill described it as a landmark day that belonged to the campaigners who have done amazing work on organ donation.

Workers should be allowed to retire on full pension at 65

After a lifetime of work, Sinn Féin believe that a worker should be able to retire on the full pension rate of pay at 65, or continue to work if they choose to do so. 

Speaking on The Week in Politics last week Claire Kerrane TD said it is not just, to make people who have worked for 40, sometimes 50 years to work an extra year, or to rely on jobseeker’s allowance of €203 per week.
