First Minister Designate Michelle O’Neill this week commended Nicola Sturgeon on the positive and progressive change she has led as the First Minister of Scotland.

She said it has been a privilege to work with Nicola, standing together for independence and against Tory chaos.

Build Our 1916 Cultural Quarter – Urgent Public Meeting

The Moore Street Preservation Trust is holding an Urgent Public Meeting on Thursday 23rd of February at 7pm in Liberty Hall Dublin.

The meeting is part of the campaign to protect our heritage and culture from developers and to get the 1916 Cultural Quarter built.

Sinn Féin members are encouraged to support and attend this meeting.

Sinn Féin makes the case for a Spring Bonus and Cost of Living Supports

Workers and families are struggling with record energy bills, rising food costs and increased mortgage repayments.

Once again, the government has been too slow to act. 

This week in the Dáil Sinn Féin called for a support package including mortgage interest relief and additional measures for those most at risk during this cost-of-living crisis.

Mary Lou McDonald said those on middle and low incomes are struggling badly with the cost of living and government must step up now.

Meanwhile Seán Crowe had a fiery exchange with Minister Heather Humphries who he accused of smirking at those who are struggling with the cost of living crisis.

Blocking of Assembly and Dáithí’s law must end now

Speaking this week Michelle O’Neill said the blocking of Dáithí’s Law today is a heart-breaking setback for the many people waiting for an organ donation, and for Dáithí, Mairtin and Seph, who have done inspirational work to bring this life-saving bill so far.

Today was a missed opportunity to save people’s lives by passing Dáithí’s law.

The blocking of an Assembly and Dáithí’s law must end now.

Government must increase social and affordable housing targets

The Latest Daft.ie report shows rents spiralling out of control.

Speaking this week Eoin Ó Broin said the Government must increase their targets for social and affordable housing to 20,000 public homes including 8,000 affordable homes.

We also need an emergency 3 year ban on rent increases.
