Schools are returning and we all can play our part

This week, after months of closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic, kids, teachers and support staff are returning to classrooms across Ireland.

Our school communities have been working tirelessly up and down the country to make things as safe as possible for everyone when they return.

Despite all this work, people are understandably nervous about the return of schools.

This is why I have written to the Business Committee to request that Ministers Foley and Madigan take questions in both the Dáil and Seanad in relation to school reopening and in relation to the forthcoming Leaving Cert results.

If you have any questions you would like me to put to the Ministers, or if you are aware of any issues in relation to schools opening in your local area please feed them into me if I can help.

The very best of luck to everyone returning to school this week.

Yours in solidarity
