Polish, Lithuanian first ladies appeal for solidarity with Ukrainian children
The Polish and Lithuanian first ladies have appealed for solidarity with Ukrainian children amid Russia’s war against Poland’s eastern neighbour.
„We call on the politicians, the clergy, organizations and all people of good will around the world to show solidarity with the Ukrainian children – the defenseless victims of the Russian aggression,” Poland’s Agata Kornhauser-Duda and Lithuania’s Diana Nausėdienė said in a joint message.
„Let us do everything we can to end this war,” they added.
„The solidarity of the entire international community in the face of this tragedy constitutes a huge value,” the two first ladies also said in their open letter.
„We call on the people of good will around the world, on civil social organizations, churches and state leaders: let us do all we can to end this war – an adult war which is claiming the lives of the youngest, a war that is killing the present and future of Ukraine children,” Kornhauser-Duda and Nausėdienė said.
„Let us help its defenseless victims together,” they appealed.
