Polish FM to visit US

Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau will pay a four-day visit to the United States next week, starting February 2, officials have announced.

On February 5, he is scheduled to meet with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to discuss „the Ukraine crisis and Poland’s role as chair of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE)” in 2022.
On January 1, Poland assumed the year-long chairmanship of the OSCE, with the country’s top diplomat becoming its Chairperson-in-Office.
Rau is also expected to discuss Poland’s priorities for the OSCE this year in meetings with US senators and members of Congress as part of the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, also known as the US Helsinki Commission.
Prior to his Washington trip, Rau will visit Ukrainian capital Kyiv, according to the Polish foreign ministry.
On February 15, he is set to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
