“A third plane will take off soon,” the Polish prime minister’s top aide, Michał Dworczyk, told a news conference.

“There are around 100 people on the evacuation list,” he added.

Dworczyk told reporters that “the situation in Afghanistan is unstable” and that “organizing the logistics” for people to board the planes in Kabul “is a big challenge for everyone.”

“We will do everything to ensure that everyone who cooperated with Polish soldiers and diplomats and who needs help today receives such help,” he said.

On Sunday, the Taliban seized control over the capital city of Afghanistan, Kabul, after international armed forces led by the United States had been withdrawn.

The Taliban, a radical Islamist movement and military organization, has now taken over most of the country, while the US-supported government has fallen and President Ashraf Ghani left the country.
