Poland to evacuate citizens, locals out of Afghanistan: PM
Poland’s prime minister said on Monday his country would evacuate its own citizens and locals who provided assistance to them out of Afghanistan.
“Our mission will be adequately equipped to bring home all those who should be helped, both Polish nationals with their families and all those people from Afghanistan who worked with us,” Mateusz Morawiecki told reporters.
He spoke as Taliban fighters rapidly regained control over Afghanistan after the withdrawal of Western forces.
