The Polish government on Tuesday evening published a list of non-EU countries with which international passenger service will be reinstated, state news agency PAP reported.

Beginning July 1, airlines can resume their flights to destinations in countries including Japan, South Korea, Ukraine, Montenegro, Georgia and Albania.

Polish air carrier LOT at the end of last month announced plans to bring back more international flights as the country eases its coronavirus restrictions.

Poland in mid-March temporarily closed its borders to non-residents and suspended most international flights and train services in a move to contain the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Since then the country has gradually reopened its airspace for commercial flights.
