In tweet, Warsaw police said: „The man drove up to a police station on the weekend. It was night and he started honking to attract the police.”

“This is how he wanted to get as many policemen as possible around the car. Fortunately, there was no explosion”, the tweet added.

According to the police, the last few weeks have seen “incredible hate against policemen”.

“We have been dealing with threats directed not only at them, but also their families. This time, however, we are dealing with a real threat to the lives of policemen”, the police said.

Tens of thousands of women, liberals and anti-government demonstrators opposed to tighter abortion laws have been taking to the streets around the country since October 22.

Some protestors have accused officers of heavy-handed policing during the demonstrations.
