Cut The Rents – No Evictions
Rents are at an all-time high and many tenants must pay over a third of their income just to keep a roof over their heads.
Despite government rhetoric, there are no proper rent controls. Many are caught in the rent hell trap, unable to even think about buying their own home.
Meanwhile, landlords are pushing ahead with mass evictions, using legal loopholes to put people on the streets. This is what is happening in 94-96 Lower Rathmines Road.
We need a people power movement to bring a change of policy.
On Saturday 28th January, there will be a protest against high rents and evictions at 2.30 pm at the Swan Leisure Centre, Rathmines. Be there.
